The family is the most significant resource a person has in coping with life's challenges; at the same time it can also become a source of frustration, conflict, and disappointment.
Family therapy is based on the understanding that many difficulties can be resolved by changing patterns and interaction within the family.
Healthy relationships between spouses are a necessary foundation for personal stability and for the proper development of children. Therapy gives space to each partner’s inner world while responding to their individual needs and to the joint couple relationship, which is influenced by the different worlds of the husband and wife

Questions and answers about the training of couples and family therapists
For certification recognized by the Israeli Association for Couple and Family Therapy, we also offer advanced training for therapists who already work in the marital and family field and wish to expand their professional knowledge.
The theories taught in the program are systemic and relational. These approaches were developed during the 1960s and focus on relationship patterns.
The training includes both theoretical studies and practical clinical work. It is possible to begin the practical training in the second year of studies.
Alongside the training programs we offer practical internships in the Or HaBayit centers. Acceptance to the internship is based on the center’s needs and a personal impression of the trainee.
We are committed to the highest professional standards. Any professional who shares these values is invited to study with us.
After two years of study, students can begin the certification process. To receive full certification, the required clinical and supervision hours must be completed.
The studies take place face to face, in groups and in pairs, so that the learning can be experienced in ‘first person’.
